How it works
Learning through experience, with a therapist in the room
Learning through experience is one of the best ways to figure out how to make connections with others. Our groups help children and adolescents learn to navigate and increase their confidence in making connections with their peers.
By meeting regularly with a licensed therapist present, children have a safe opportunity to learn to build and sustain relationships. Each week has a designated topic that facilitates closeness within the group and helps each child learn new skills.
Each session begins with an icebreaker and teaches a skill while the children eat their lunches. They then practice that skill and clean up together.
