I am a Licensed Social Worker who specializes in Marriage and Family Therapy. I graduated
from the University of Chicago with a Masters in Social Work in 2009. As a Certified Gottman
Therapist, I believe that a research-based approach to marriage and family therapy can be
highly effective in improving relationship dynamics. I think that every relationship has challenges
and therapeutic intervention can be critical to increase a sense of empathy and understanding
within the context of the relationship. I personally am amazed at how relationships can change
when we shift our perspectives and implement some of the practices of Gottman’s work, and it
is my privilege to be able to share those practices with my clients to encourage real and lasting
changes in their relationships.

Prior to working at Touchstone, I provided therapeutic interventions to patients coping with grief
and loss in an inpatient cancer unit at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and in a hospice
organization in South Side Chicago. These experiences taught me to that life can be short and
sometimes the unexpected happens. Grief and change in relationships can be long processes
that ebb and flow. It is critical to provide a safe and supportive environment for clients dealing
with family and life changes, and I enjoy holding space for my clients during such challenging
times. I am committed to providing a warm, therapeutic environment to help ensure my clients
walk away in a better place than when they arrived.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my kids and husband, doing core power yoga, or
playing euchre at a mom’s group in my neighborhood.
