Hi, I’m Katie, and I believe that each and every person is capable of unlocking the tools needed to overcome life’s complex challenges. Whether you’re a child navigating big emotions or an adult working through stress, trauma, or life transitions, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, humor, and support.

I enjoy working with children and their families, using play therapy and creative approaches to help young clients express themselves, build emotional awareness, and feel safe and understood. I have extensive experience working with children on the autism spectrum, supporting their unique communication styles, sensory needs, and social-emotional development with patience and intention. I have years of experience with working with adults with developmental disabilities and are neurodiverse.

Having extensive lived experience, I can identify with clients coping with the challenges of aging. For many older adults, this stage of life brings both loss and opportunity. I help clients adjust to retirement, changing health, and shifting roles, while processing grief and finding new meaning, connection, and confidence in themselves and their future.

With over 20 years of experience in human services, I bring a deep understanding of how people grow, struggle, and thrive. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Communications and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.

While techniques and tools are important, I believe that the heart of therapy lies in our ability to connect and form a meaningful therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. Healing happens when we feel safe enough to show up as our full selves, and I work to ensure each client experiences that sense of safety and trust.

Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken it’s about helping you reconnect with your inner strength and move forward with confidence and clarity. I’m honored to support you and your family on that journey.
