Are you looking for a compassionate and dedicated therapist who can help bring about positive transformation in your life or family?
My journey into the counseling field began as a school resource officer in a high school, where I witnessed firsthand the profound impact a counselor can have on a student’s self-perception and overall well-being. This experience ignited my passion for mental health and my desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of those seeking support. My path was further shaped by my background as a former police officer, military veteran, and school counselor, where I saw the far-reaching effects of trauma—whether from a single distressing event or the cumulative toll of ongoing stress.
Through these experiences, I had a pivotal realization: I didn’t want to simply respond to people in crisis and then walk away, leaving them to navigate their pain alone. Instead, I wanted to be a steady guide in their healing journey.
While I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents, my practice also extends to adults, particularly first responders, military personnel, and individuals who struggle to engage in the therapeutic process. My prior career experience and background allows me to connect with trauma survivors in a meaningful way, providing a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can process their experiences, understand their responses, and develop effective coping strategies.
My experience as a school resource officer and school counselor gives me a unique ability to connect with young clients. I understand the pressures they face—whether from school, peers, or family dynamics—and work to help them navigate these challenges with confidence. My background has given me insight into the struggles children and teens often don’t have the words to express, allowing me to meet them where they are and help them build emotional awareness, resilience, and self-esteem.
Having made a significant career change myself, I deeply understand the uncertainty and self-reflection that come with being at a crossroads in life. Whether someone is transitioning careers, navigating personal challenges, or redefining their purpose, I bring empathy and firsthand insight into the process of making difficult, life-altering decisions.
Regardless of age or background, I tailor my therapeutic approach to each client’s unique needs, empowering them to build resilience and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. My goal is to foster self-awareness, encourage personal growth, and equip individuals with the tools they need to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
