Hi, I’m Carol. I know that choosing a therapist, someone who truly understands you or your child. can feel overwhelming. That’s why I approach every client relationship with authenticity, warmth, and a commitment to building real trust. I believe the heart of effective therapy lies in a strong connection, and I work hard to ensure you feel seen, heard, and supported.

With over 40 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families, I bring a deep understanding of both emotional and practical challenges that life can throw our way. My background includes decades as a school social worker, where I developed specialized expertise in navigating educational systems. I regularly help families understand and advocate for their child through the maze of IEPs, 504 plans, and school-based service, translating “school-speak” into something you can use and act on.

Beyond the school setting, I’ve worked in mental health clinics and private practice, supporting individuals and families through a wide range of concerns including ADHD, anxiety, autism, adoption, depression, developmental delays, divorce, parenting stress, life transitions, and neurological differences. I deeply value seeing the whole picture, where you are emotionally, what obstacles you’re facing day to day, and how we can work together to create meaningful change.

My therapeutic style is compassionate and down-to-earth, with a healthy dose of directness, humor, and playfulness when it fits. I tailor each session to your unique needs, drawing on a variety of approaches to support growth and healing. Whether you’re navigating challenges as a parent, a child, or an individual, my goal is to help you build new insight, coping skills, and confidence so that life feels more manageable and more fulfilling.
