Speech Therapy

Brena Oh

SLP

Brena is a speech-language pathologist who graduated from an accelerated
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program in Communication Sciences and
Disorders, with a minor in Social Work. From an early age, Brena felt called to
work with children, particularly after reading memoirs of youth growing up in the
foster care system. These powerful stories sparked her passion to help children
find their voice—both literally and figuratively—and inspired her to pursue a
career where she could empower young individuals to communicate and
advocate for themselves.
Brena believes that building strong rapport is foundational to effective therapy
and long-term progress. She values connection, trust, and creating a safe space
for her clients to grow. She uses a play-based approach to keep sessions
engaging, natural, and developmentally appropriate—allowing children to learn
and connect in ways that feel fun and meaningful.
Her clinical interests include phonological and articulation disorders, receptive
and expressive language development, and social-pragmatic language skills.
She works with children and families to create individualized, functional goals
that support communication across all environments.
Outside of work, Brena enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring
new restaurants, attending cardio beats classes, and being in nature.
