Hi there, I’m Amanda!
I’m so glad you’re here! My passion is helping individuals and families create a safe, trusting space where they can explore, heal, and truly thrive. I believe in meeting you where you are—whether that’s through play, art, or conversation—and supporting you in a way that feels comfortable and authentic to you. It’s all about discovering what works for you, and I promise we’ll have some fun along the way!
The therapy I provide is grounded in a strengths-based, person-centered approach, emphasizing each individual’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Art Therapy and Therapeutic Listening (a technique that uses music to help with emotional regulation and sensory integration).
I’m passionate about working with families to create environments where everyone can grow, establish healthy boundaries, and strengthen their relationships. I believe healing is a collective process that takes time, which is why I’m dedicated to supporting both individuals and their loved ones—fostering connection and growth within the family unit.
A little about my background: I’m a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. I also hold a Professional Educator License (PEL) and specialize in supporting school-age children and their families. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a range of settings, including a women’s and children’s shelter, a high school, and a pediatric clinic, where I’ve had the privilege of working with a range neurodiverse populations!
In my free time, I love being outdoors, traveling, and spending quality moments with my family and friends. I also enjoy cozying up with my kitten, Moana, who always manages to bring a little extra joy into my day.
