Abigail is a passionate and dedicated clinical intern in her final year earning her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. She previously earned her bachelor’s degree in Acting from Oklahoma City University. She comes to counseling from an arts, arts education, and performance background. Prior to becoming a counselor Abigail worked with Neurodiverse populations including ADHD and Autism as well as working with teens and with Schizophrenia and Down’s Syndrome. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, teens and adults individually and in group settings in her former career. In her classroom, her students found an empathetic and safe environment to try new things, reach their goals, and be their authentic selves. Abigail is queer and gender affirmative with a deep understanding of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Abigail utilizes a person-centered approach to bring these ideals to her therapeutic work with clients of all ages. Abigail finds her foundation in emphasizing the therapeutic relationship and meeting clients where they through holding space for them in their unique journey. She is passionate about building lasting connections and supporting the mental health of individuals, couples, and families. When working with Abigail, you can expect an accepting and safe environment that considers your unique needs as an individual.
