Before joining the mental health field, I built a successful career in performing arts and theater education, bringing rich life experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a grounded, real-world perspective to my current work with clients. I have extensive training in evidence-based practices and am committed to delivering high-quality care. My theatre and creative arts background have strengthened my creativity in sessions to think outside of the box and approach client’s challenges in a way that may not have been previously considered.  Theater training nurtured my curiosity and empathy…two strengths I bring to every session. I practice with a “yes-and” approach: validating a client’s truth while exploring the next step together.

Prior to becoming a counselor I worked with Neurodiverse populations including ADHD and Autism as well as working with teens and with Schizophrenia and Down’s Syndrome. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, teens and adults individually and in group settings in her former career. In my classroom, I strove to develop an empathetic and safe environment to try new things, help students reach their goals, and be their authentic selves.

I enjoy working with adults and couples who are ready to explore their inner world and relationships with honesty and openness. They may be navigating transitions, managing ADHD, processing identity-related challenges, or working to strengthen communication with loved ones. Couple’s therapy isn’t one size fits all and I enjoy helping couples harness the tools and techniques in ways that will aid their unique situations.  I get excited seeing those moments of discovery couples have during sessions that help deepen their relationship and understanding of their partner’s perspective.

As a queer and gender-affirming therapist, I provide an inclusive and supportive environment for clients across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. I also integrate Gottman Method techniques for couples and SPACE-informed strategies for parents of anxious children, helping families and relationships become sources of strength rather than stress.

When I am not in the office I am often doing something creative. I’m a huge crafter of all kinds and I’m not afraid to get messy!  I’ve been a singer, dancer, and actor my whole life.
