PEERS® Social Skills Group for Middle Schoolers & Parents

PEERS® (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) is a world-renowned, evidence-based program developed at UCLA to help adolescents build meaningful, lasting friendships. This 14-week group is designed specifically for children, adolescents, and emerging adults who struggle with making and keeping friends, as well as their parents, who play a critical role as social coaches.

Each week, middle schoolers meet with trained facilitators to learn step-by-step strategies for navigating social situations while parents meet in a concurrent group to learn how to coach and reinforce those skills at home. Research shows that when parents practice and support these strategies alongside their children, the skills are more likely to stick and generalize outside of group. By working together, families create the consistency needed for lasting change.
